This Privacy Policy describes how and when ThisWayUp collects, uses and shares your information when you use our Services. • If you are a member, our application uses cookies to save your username. The cookie is deleted when you log out. Cookies are encrypted.
• We also use some temporary cookies to store some session variables. They are deleted once you close your browser.
• We may use your information to contact you about important announcements and other important things about your account.
• ThisWayUp protects your data, including contact information, at our website against loss, misuse or alteration by taking extensive security measures.

Information Collection and Use

ThisWayUp User Account Holders

Information Collected Upon Registration: When you create or reconfigure an account at ThisWayUp, you provide some personal information, such as your name, username, password, and e-mail address. This information is only visible to authorized users on our Services, who have sufficient permissions (see Access Management below).

External User Account Holders

Information Collected Upon Registration: When you submit a film or request accreditation at the festival, you provide some personal information, such as your name, username, password, and e-mail address. The information is only visible to authorized users on our Services, such as festival employees.

Access Management

As a festival organization, you are responsible for appointing one or more members as Administrators on ThisWayUp. Administrators are authorized and responsible for the access management of all registered user accounts.

Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the policy will govern our use of your information and will always be at https://www.{primaryDomain}/privacy-policy. By continuing to access or use our Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is effective as of May 27, 2024.
